A Shipley client later this year is due to rebid for a contract where they are the incumbent. Ahead of that process, they have their regular annual review. To mark this occasion, the company wanted to produce a booklet highlighting the successes of the relationship since the award of the first contract.

Thankfully, having taken myself on as an associate, Shipley were able to boast an experienced journalist, perfect for the task.

An appeal to staff members for any positive tales from the period of the contract threw up some initial threads, and exploring them further I uncovered a number of captivating human-interest stories that spoke of success just as loudly as any of the formal performance figures. In a few weeks I was able to pull together a 20-page publication which demonstrated the strong symbiosis between the two companies, effectively to the point where to all intents and purposes they were part of the same team.

The clients were delighted with the final product. With regard to the strategy paying off..? That will be decided later in the year.
